"Filled with ripe fruits," is the initial thought, but behind the fruity notes, we discover amber, one of the base notes of Whoosh. Originally, amber is the fragrant, dense, grayish (sometimes black) intestinal secretion of the sperm whale (Physeter macrocephalus), which serves to protect the organism's intestinal wall. Processed amber has been a staple in perfumery for millennia.
However, in the case of SUPERZ, the amber used is a blend of several plant resins, created from labdanum (Cistus ladanifer), Siam benzoin (Styrax benzoin) resin, and vanilla. It is a classically oriental scent that is extremely persistent. Its aroma is sweet, resinous, warm-toned, and inviting. Laypeople sometimes incorrectly translate the English word "amber" as "borostyán," which means "amberstone," but the fragrance note has little to do with the mineral.
